Sign a document from your dojo

For Students and families

In short

Documents your dojo asks you to sign are on My Dashboard under Documents to sign (titled Finish joining, at the top, while a new athlete still owes one the dojo requires). Press Read and sign, read the document, answer any questions, tick the boxes, agree to sign electronically, type your full name and press Sign. A parent or guardian signs for their child. You can view and print your signed copies while you belong to the dojo; after that, ask the dojo for a copy.

Signing

  1. Open My Dashboard. Documents to sign lists what your dojo has asked of you, for you and for each child linked to you. While a new athlete still owes a document the dojo requires, the same card is at the top of the page, titled Finish joining and marked Sign-up incomplete; nothing else waits for it. My Dashboard appears once your account is linked to an athlete — you or a child; if it isn't in your menu, ask your dojo. When your dojo asks you to sign something, the bell tells you, and your dojo may email you too.
  2. Press Read and sign. The document shows your dojo's and the athlete's details filled in.
  3. Answer any questions the dojo asks, tick each box, and agree to sign electronically.
  4. Type your full name and press Sign.

If the dojo changed the document while you were reading, you are asked to read the new version and sign again.

Signing for your child

A parent or guardian linked to a child signs for them. An athlete whose record has a parent or guardian linked is treated as a minor, and needs that parent or guardian to sign.

Your signed copies

Under signed documents, View opens the copy exactly as it was signed, with Print or save as PDF, for as long as you belong to the dojo. It is kept exactly as signed; a copy signed since signed copies were given a fingerprint is checked against it every time it is opened.

Signing again

When your dojo publishes a new version that needs everyone to sign again, the document comes back with "Your dojo has updated this document since you signed it." A yearly document comes back after its year, once your dojo next updates who it asks to sign.
