Set up your dojo's AI Sensei

Your Sensei

Owners, administrators and lead coaches set it up in Admin console → Settings → Assistants & messaging:

• Your Sensei: its name, title and rank, greeting, voice, how much Japanese it uses, how long its answers are, and the phone and email it gives when it cannot answer.
• Sensei is active, Website chat (visitors to your page can ask it questions) and Staff assistant (the Staff Sensei).

The banner at the top says where it stands: switched off, on but not on your website yet, or answering visitors.

What it answers from

• Approved answers: a question, your answer, and other ways people ask it. Tick Use these exact words for prices, policies and anything legal: the Sensei is then shown that answer whenever a question comes near it, even in different words. It still answers only when your material covers the question, and it words the answer itself.
• Documents: PDFs, text or saved web pages of up to 7 MB.
• Your website: it reads up to 40 pages of your own site, and reads them again weekly, daily, monthly or only when you ask.

When it cannot answer

It says so, gives your phone and email, and adds the question to Questions it could not answer, where you can Add answer or Dismiss. Try it yourself shows which of your answers it used.

Good to know

• Questions and answers on your website are kept for 90 days, without the visitor's identity; see How long information is kept.
• Its figure is drawn from a reference photo you upload in Admin console → Settings → Media library, and nothing changes for visitors until you choose Use this Sensei.
