The Staff Sensei

Opening it

• Press the Sensei in the corner of the page (Ask the Sensei), or press Ctrl-J (Cmd-J on a Mac).
• It is also in the search palette (Ctrl-K or Cmd-K) as Ask the Sensei.
• Type what you need in Find, explain, or change something… and press Send.

What it does

• Finds and explains: athletes, matches, events, RSVPs, attendance, belts and progress, from the records you are already allowed to see.
• Prepares changes: a calendar event, a tournament, the site message, the home page headline or the callout beside the feature image, and, on the growth desk, a lead's stage, outcome, owner, or marking a lead enrolled. A prepared change shows Needs your confirmation with Confirm and Not now; nothing changes until you confirm, and a prepared change expires after thirty minutes.
• Small notes apply at once: a coaching note, which is posted straight away and rings the family's New coaching feedback bell (Remove note takes it down), and for the growth desk a note or follow-up date on a lead.
• Drafts team emails for owners, administrators and lead coaches to copy into the composer. It never sends them.

What it may prepare follows your role: lead coaches and administrators can also prepare class timetable changes and see the inbox, and administrators can update the dojo's public contact details.

What it never does

It never touches money or billing, never deletes a record on its own, never records a grading or checks a student in, and never sends an email or a text.

Turning it on

The Staff Sensei is part of the AI Sensei. Owners, administrators and lead coaches turn it on under Admin console → Settings → Assistants & messaging.
