Your Coach Dashboard

For Coaches

In short

The Coach Dashboard is where a coach's day starts. On a computer open Resources and choose Coach; on a phone, Menu and then Coach. It has a tab for today, the videos waiting for review, your athletes and upcoming events, plus attendance when your dojo uses Classes & Attendance, and belt testing for every coach who can award ranks.

Where to find it: Coach Dashboard → Today

Getting there

  • On a computer, open Resources and choose Coach.
  • On a phone, tap Menu at the bottom of the screen and choose Coach.
  • When you coach at exactly one dojo and sign in from the KarateShowCase homepage, you land on it.

What each tab shows

  • Today: an at-a-glance line with today's classes, items to review, your athletes and what's coming up, each one a button to its tab. Today's classes each have a Check in button when you can take attendance.
  • Review: the matches and practice videos waiting on a coach — Awaiting your review, New reply for you and Practice video to watch. When the queue is empty it says so.
  • Athletes: the roster, with a search box and a count by belt. A card opens the athlete's profile.
  • Events: the next six things on the calendar, the next belt test, and the Tournament Hub.
  • Attendance appears when your dojo uses Classes & Attendance and you can take attendance; Belt testing appears for every coach who can award ranks. See Check students in for a class and Run a belt test.

Good to know

  • Today can change your own instructor photo, and the Attendance and Belt testing tabs record check-ins and results directly. Coaching notes are made on the matches it opens.
  • A coach who coaches several dojos through KarateShowCase sees Today, Review, Athletes and Events only; attendance and belt testing belong to the dojo's own instructors.
