Delete your account
For Students and families, Coaches, Dojo owners and administrators
In short
Open My account from your account menu, choose Delete my account, and type DELETE to confirm. You are signed out everywhere, and your profile, memberships, the athlete records made for your account, RSVPs and notifications are deleted straight away. A plan that would keep charging has to end first. You can end one you pay for, and one on your own athlete record while you are an active member, in the same step, at the end of its paid period; any other is ended by whoever pays for it, or by your dojo. A dojo's last administrator has to hand over first. Documents you signed, and athlete records your dojo already held, stay with the dojo.
Where to find it: your account menu → My account
Deleting your account
- Open your account menu → My account.
- Under Delete account, press Delete my account.
- If a plan would keep charging, it is listed first, and nothing is ended for you. You can end a plan you pay for, and a plan on your own athlete record while you are an active member of its dojo: it runs to the end of the period already paid for, then stops. Or press Keep my account. A plan you cannot end has to be ended by whoever pays for it, or by your dojo, before the account can be deleted.
- Type DELETE and press Permanently delete my account.
You need a verified email address to delete your account. If you cannot do it yourself, email info@KarateShowCase.com and we will run the same deletion for you after verifying the request.
What is deleted
Delete your account — from My Account → Delete account, behind a typed confirmation. Deletion runs immediately: your sessions are ended, and your profile, memberships, the athlete records made for your account (including their photos and videos), RSVPs, and notifications are deleted
Photo files are destroyed by a scheduled cleanup after their records are deleted, typically within 48 hours. Match and practice videos are links to YouTube: deleting the record removes the link, not the video on YouTube.
What stays
Coaching notes you wrote on teammates' videos are anonymized rather than deleted — the text stays with the video it was written about, attributed to "Former member" with your identity removed — so an athlete's coaching record stays whole
Documents you signed for a dojo are the dojo's record of what was agreed, and deleting your account does not change or delete them, whether you signed for yourself, signed for a child, or a document was signed for you. Each is kept exactly as it was signed.
- Records your dojo already held. If your dojo joined your account to an athlete record it already had, deleting your account disconnects you from it and clears its profile details. The record and its history stay with the dojo.
- Parents and guardians. Deleting your own account removes your link to your child's record. It never deletes the child's record, which stays with their dojo.
When deletion is refused
- A plan would charge again. End it first, so nothing is charged after the account is gone.
- You are a dojo's last administrator. Hand the dojo to another administrator first, or contact us, so a team is never left without one.
- Your email is not verified. Verify it, then try again.
