Notifications and email from your dojo
For Students and families, Coaches
In short
The bell at the top of your dojo's page shows notifications: new coaching on a match or practice video, belt tests and promotions, events asking who is going, and payments. Documents to sign are on My Dashboard. Emails come from your dojo through KarateShowCase. To stop your dojo's news and offers, press Unsubscribe at the bottom of any news email, or untick Send me news and offers in My account where your dojo offers it; messages about a class you booked, a belt test or your membership still arrive.
Where to find it: your account menu → My account
The bell
The bell sits at the top of your dojo's page once there is something to show. Open it for your notifications, newest first; Mark all read clears the count. Notifications are removed 90 days after you read them, and all of them after a year.
You hear about things such as new coaching feedback and replies on a match, a belt test you are listed for and a new rank, an event asking whether you are going, a fee that is ready to pay, a payment that did not go through, and being added as a guardian.
Emails from your dojo are sent by KarateShowCase on its behalf: team emails, reminders about events and belt tests, documents your dojo asks you to sign, and invitations.
To stop news and offers, press Unsubscribe at the bottom of any news-and-offers email from your dojo and confirm on the page it opens; that stops that dojo's news (a mail app's own Unsubscribe button does it in one press). Where your dojo offers it, your account menu → My account has the same choice as a switch, Send me news and offers, under your dojo's email. It shows what you chose there or with the Unsubscribe link in an email sent to your account, and ticking it again starts that dojo's news again to the address your account has verified. Messages about a class you booked, a belt test, documents to sign or your membership always arrive.
Your dojo's own messages to you are its own; ask your dojo if you want fewer of them.
